She lives alone in the far North,
bathed in serenity and snow.

She guards her home, day and night;
precious little escapes her sight.

She is a treacherous and wild thing,
with fearsome claws and a searing bite.

Should the weary traveller fail to pay her price…
The Sphinx will devour them...
Before they can blink twice.

But just as a lioness does, she has a tenderness.

The Sphinx enjoys chamomile tea,
creative writing, and living with less.

Beware, O dear travellers,
of the Sphinx’s untamed wrath.
